In games outside of P2E, game assets generally just exist in the boundaries of the game server, and the true ownership of those assets belongs to the game company. The rules, regulations, and explicit terms and conditions make it difficult for players to claim actual ownership of their game assets. However, we found a solution to these problems by implementing blockchain technology within Covenant Child. Ownership of game heroes and items issued as NFTs is entirely given to the players.

In Covenant Child, NFTs of game assets can be issued by transferring in-game items or characters from a centralized game server to a decentralized blockchain server. Conversely, by transferring issued NFTs from the decentralized blockchain server to the game server, players can use them as in-game items or characters. We utilize a Middleware Server to direct, match, and secure the data that flows to and from the Game and Blockchain servers.

All NFTs issued in the game must undergo secondary verification with the server before entering the game.

Additionally, the creation and transaction details of all Covenant Child NFTs are transparently processed and disclosed through ‘smart contracts’ on the blockchain server, so our players can trust that their NFT and game assets will be protected and their information secure.
